About Jerome R. Goldstein

Jerome R. Goldstein is an established presence in the New York City financial community who guided Bear Stearns & Co. as founding partner for decades. Responsible for operational strategy, Jerome R. Goldstein worked to expand the firm’s investment capacities and led growth in a regional office system that earned the firm a nationwide presence. After stepping down from active company leadership, he continued lend guidance of operations as managing director, emeritus. A Rufus Choate Scholar at Dartmouth College, reflecting the top 5 percent performance in his class, Mr. Goldstein earned his bachelor’s degree in government. He has continued to be active with his alma mater over the years, helping fund and carry forward a number of scholarships and academic initiatives. Among the endowments he funded was the Dartmouth Distinguished Teaching Award, which is unique in taking student input into consideration when recognizing worthy educators. Mr. Goldstein maintains a strong focus on regional initiatives, including those that serve to protect the environment. He was treasurer of the Westchester Land Trust, and serves on the board of an organization that helps alleviate the impact of development on the local landscape. A horticulture enthusiast, Jerome R. Goldstein also enjoys gardening and playing tennis in his free time.
